Wednesday  08/02/2000 (Photo's Below)

Today I was feeling a little tired, so all I did was take some pictures from the contest room. Judges were dissecting models, and it was quite a sight to see. They had white gloves, to make sure no particles from their hands touched the models.

 

Some of the judges had optivisors, magnifying glasses, flashlights, pick, laser pointers and more to do their job. Here they were chopping points because their was no roof on this model. They even looked under the table for the roof before making the point assessment.

 

In the Caboose category, there was a 1 1/2" scale bobber caboose built by 14 year old Greg Reiter of San Jose, that dwarfed the competition.

 

In the Online Displays category was a neat dockside diorama. The water looked just like the ocean.
