Before Painting for easy identification of modifications:
My Steam terminology is a little rusty, but you can see the tender sides were raised, the water hatch was raised with a casting, a coal pusher was added, and not visible are the tender stepboard and MT couplers.
On the engine, 3 roof hatches (NP1174), a second sand dome, relocated headlight, modified pilot, a filed down steam dome and various plumbing changes round out the conversion.
