The next thing to do is rub your fingers over the patches of dirt you sifted on in the last step. This will cause the dirt to powder up realistically, and lightens it up a little. If you had put glue on the dirt in the last step, it would have dried shiny. You can simulate some neat mud puddles that way.

Now your base scenery is completed. Time to get some trees, rocks, roads, and buildings planted...or just leave it like this and run some trains!
